Rapidset: The Only Cement for Precast

Kampala: Hima Cement has introduced a new cement, RapidSet, designed exclusively for the precast concrete market due to its rapid hardening attributes. The new portland cement (42.5R strength) was launched at Kyadondo Sports Grounds in Kampala, and is already available on the Ugandan market.

 

While addressing members of the press, Hima Cement’s Country CEO, Jean-Michel Pons remarked, “The construction and real estate market continues to grow tremendously and this drives our commitment to innovate and provide solutions that enhance efficiency for the industry.” 

RapidSet drives efficiency because of its high strength gain and rapid hardening qualities which reduces production lead times for precast concrete works. It is recommended for concrete applications like culverts, pavers, blocks, roof and floor concrete tiles, and bridge beams and concrete electricity poles among others, for large scale projects. With a 2 day strength of 25 mPa, you get double the strength for your finished precast products.

Rapidset is available in 30kg bags and bulk and is produced under permit No. PO800/2019 by the UNBS cement standard US EAS 18-1
